According to Shamshyan.com, employees of the Main Division of Criminal Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have discovered the suspect who brutally killed a 28-year-old transgender individual in Yerevan yesterday.
According to sources, operational information was received at the Central Police Department indicating that the alleged perpetrator is 26-year-old Ernest E., a resident of Armavir Marz. On the same day, he arrived in Yerevan from Armavir Marz in a Toyota vehicle, parked near Koghbatsi 1, and then went up to the 11th floor apartment number 51, where he inflicted multiple stab wounds with a sharp instrument on the body of 28-year-old Adrianna L. In an attempt to cover up the crime, he set the body and the apartment on fire.
Last night, around 02:30, Ernest E. attempted to leave the Republic of Armenia through the Bavra border checkpoint. However, due to the police's operational actions, he was apprehended and taken to the Central Police Department on suspicion of murder. He was subsequently presented to the second investigative department of the Yerevan investigative division of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, where a criminal case was initiated regarding the incident.
He confessed to the crime, and the forensic expert reported that there were seven traces on the body.
