Air Temperature Gradually Decreasing: Weather in Armenia

From August 19-20 and after noon on the 23rd, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in certain regions of the Republic of Armenia, particularly at night on the 20th and after noon. Hail is also possible in some areas. This information is provided by the Meteorological and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The wind will be from the west at a speed of 2-4 m/s, with gusts expected to reach 15-18 m/s during thunderstorms. The air temperature is anticipated to decrease gradually by 3-4 degrees from August 19-20.

In Yerevan, from August 19-20 and on the 23rd, dry weather is expected. From August 20-22 in the evening, short-term rain and thunderstorms may occur. During the evenings of August 18-23, wind gusts of 12-15 m/s are also expected.

The authorities warn that from August 18-19, a high fire danger situation will persist in Yerevan, the Ararat Valley, and the foothills of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor, as well as in the valleys of Syunik and Tavush.
