VIDEO. What Would You Do If You Were Without Water for a Day? A Question for Garegin Baghramyan

“There are currently numerous complaints being reviewed by the Public Services Regulatory Commission, directed at the ‘Veolia Water’ company,” said Garegin Baghramyan, the Chairman of the Commission, during a press conference today, on August 17.

According to Baghramyan, if water outages in the republic are related to service quality or timing violations, the operator will receive an automatic fine.

“Depending on the season, problems often increase because water demand rises, pressure in the system increases to deliver water to consumers, and due to the wear and tear of the system, accidents significantly increase. The fines are automatic, and if there are any violations related to service or timing, automatic fines are applied. This is done for the convenience of the consumer. The fine is automatically paid from the consumer's account,” he noted.
