VIDEO: I Was Sitting in the Last Section of the Bus – Lilith Injured in the Accident Describes the Incident

On August 14, Lilith Gukasova, who was injured in an accident on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway that claimed the lives of 11 people, was traveling alone to Western Armenia. They had set off from Yerevan in the early hours of August 11.

She shared this information in an interview with NEWS.am, stating: “On the way back, we changed vehicles near the border; a local driver took over, at that time he was Kurdish. We went through checks in Bavra, but after that, I cannot remember anything. I remember I was sitting in the last section of the bus, next to me were my companions. But I don't remember anything about the impact; I don’t know if I was asleep or not; it seems that the moment of the impact has been wiped from my memory.”

It is recalled that on the night of August 14, near the village of Lanjik on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, a passenger minibus of the make “Volkswagen” collided with a truck of the make “ZIL.” Eleven citizens died in the incident, including the driver of the minibus and a tour guide from “Hamsen Tour,” while six others were seriously injured.
