Deputy Minister of Economy Gave a Garage to His Sister
Continuing the scrutiny of the financial assets of those in power, it has been revealed that Deputy Minister of Economy Narek Teryan acquired an apartment in the Russian Federation in 2015 as a sole owner, as well as a garage in 2011. This was reported by the newspaper "Jamanak" and noted that in 2022, Teryan transferred the garage as a donation to his sister, Rozi Terteryan.
Teryan's bank account balances consist of 3,905,000 drams, 15,000 dollars, 18,519 euros, and 1,065,000 rubles. His cash assets amounted to 1,771,000 drams.
The reported year's income totals 18,642,000 drams, of which 13,582,000 drams comes from salary at the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, and 60,000 drams from the Russian-Armenian University as salary.
As of December 31 of the reporting year, the total amount of loans and borrowings stood at 11,961,000 drams.
Thus, Narek Teryan joins the ranks of officials who have worked in the banking system, having previously served as an advisor in the government of the Moscow region from 2017 to 2018.
It should also be noted that Narek Teryan is the political figure who failed to secure Armenia's opportunity to present at the "EXPO 2020-Dubai" exhibition. All of his expenses were covered by the state budget, including the cost of COVID tests at that time. However, instead of exhibits, he placed brochures in the pavilion, while the revolutionaries blamed everyone but themselves.
