Participant of the April and 44-Day Wars Leaves Large Amount of Weapons Near Cemetery
A participant of the April and 44-day wars has brought and left a bag of weapons and ammunition at the entrance of the Noramarg village cemetery. This information was confirmed by the police.
“As a result of the explanatory work of the criminal investigators of the Masis Police Department, on August 15, a man called the operational management center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and reported that he is a participant of the April and 44-day wars, and he has brought a bag of weapons and ammunition from both wars, which he left at the entrance of the Noramarg village cemetery,” the statement said.
An operational group from the Masis department was dispatched to the specified location. During the search operation, three bags were discovered at the cemetery entrance, containing an AKM-type rifle, various calibers of cartridges, magazines, grenades with detonators, and mortar shells.
A criminal case has been initiated at the Masis investigative division regarding this incident. During the inspection of the Noramarg village cemetery, an AKM rifle, four grenades of “F-1,” “RGD,” and “RGD-5” types, 34 detonators for grenades, 11 magazines, three optical devices, two mortar shells, an RK-3 EM anti-tank mine, 570 cartridges of various calibers and types, 60 grenade detonator handles, and one mine marked as RPK were found,” the announcement stated. It was noted that the prepared documents have been sent to the Masis investigative division.
