Miami Police Send Gangster Weapons to Ukraine

The Miami Police Department has transferred over a hundred weapons seized from gangs in the city streets to the National Police of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the department. The Ukrainian police received gangster weapons from Miami's sister city, Irpin.

“Today's event is of great significance for the Ukrainian police. The weapons seized from criminals can be used as crime-fighting tools. At the same time, these weapons, transferred to our units, will become another means of maintaining order and security to protect Ukrainians,” said Deputy Chief of the National Police Henadiy Fedyoriuk.

The specific models of the weapons have not been disclosed. Photos released by the National Police's press service show revolvers and automatic firearms.

Miami Police Chief Manuel Morales called the transfer of weapons a great honor. In addition to handing over the weapons, the Miami police department has also assisted in restoring the Irpin police department.

Ukrainian People's Deputy Mariann Zaboloztsky reported that the Miami Police have delivered a total of 101 firearms. According to her, in the future, the Ukrainian police will receive more than 600 weapons from other U.S. cities, “along the entire route of Forrest Gump's run.”
