Azerbaijanis Publish Photo of Arrested Armenian Reservist

Azerbaijani media, citing the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, have released a photo of an Armenian reservist who was arrested today. The report states that the individual is 1983-born Gagik Voskanyan, who sustained injuries.

It is worth noting that the Armenian Ministry of Defense has denied Azerbaijan's claims that the Armenian Armed Forces attempted a diversionary incursion in the eastern section of the border. “Previously, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reported that initial information indicated that the reservist, G. V., had left the combat position as part of a training exercise. The possible scenarios for the reservist’s presence on the Azerbaijani side and all circumstances are being examined,” the statement read.

Minutes ago, the Armenian Ministry of Defense also released a video showing a group of Azerbaijani servicemen approaching the reservist G. V., who was found on the Azerbaijani side under unclear circumstances, talking to him before arresting him and taking him away in a vehicle in an unknown direction.
