The Conflict Will Start Again, But with Russia's Increased Appetite: Podolyak
The advisor to the head of the Ukrainian President's Office, Mykhailo Podolyak, has stated that it is unacceptable for Ukraine to voluntarily relinquish part of its territories in exchange for NATO membership.
According to him, this scenario is desirable for Russia, as it would freeze the armed conflict rather than bring it to a complete halt. “Exchange territory for NATO’s umbrella? Strange. This means consciously heading towards the loss of democracy, encouraging a global criminal, sustaining the Russian regime, destroying international law, and mandating the transfer of the war to future generations,” Podolyak wrote in his microblog on X.
The advisor to the head of the Ukrainian president's office noted that the armed conflict “will definitely start again, but with Russia's increased appetite, if it is not defeated.”
