New Meetings on Peace Treaty Expected in September, Edmon Marukyan
The latest meeting regarding the peace treaty took place in Moscow, and new meetings are anticipated in September. This was stated by Armenia's Special Envoy Edmon Marukyan during an appearance on Public Television.
“Several times, both the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister have made statements that the actions being taken by Azerbaijan disrupt the entire peace process and lead to its nullification. Armenia has not exited this process and will not do so; it remains committed to it. But as they say, 'the tango is not danced alone', and for the continuation of the process, the other side is needed,” he said.
According to Marukyan, the Armenian side continues to work on the draft of the peace treaty. “Efforts on the responses are ongoing, and in that sense, nothing has been halted. But what we have certainly does not contribute to the effectiveness of the process,” Marukyan noted.
