Lavrov Accuses the West of Escalating the Ukrainian Conflict

The West, by supplying weapons to Ukraine, significantly increases the risk of military confrontation between nuclear superpowers. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“Today, to save their geopolitical plan to contain Russia and divide the Russian world, the United States, NATO, and the European Union are supplying Ukraine with more and more modern weapons, further inflaming the conflict and simultaneously inciting an uncontrollable spread of arms globally,” Lavrov said during his speech at the Moscow conference on international security.

According to the Russian Foreign Minister, these reckless and irresponsible actions by the West significantly heighten the danger of direct military confrontation between nuclear powers.
