According to preliminary information, the two vehicles involved in the accident in Shirak Province had both passed technical inspection and had valid compulsory insurance contracts, and the drivers possessed valid driving licenses. “I am shocked by the news of the tragic accident that occurred in Shirak Province. Road safety is among the government's priorities. In the context of the continuously increasing number of vehicles, the number of road traffic accident victims decreased in 2022 compared to 2021.
According to preliminary information, the two vehicles involved in the accident in Shirak Province also had both technical inspections and valid insurance contracts, and the drivers had valid licenses. The investigation will provide answers to the remaining questions.
Additional measures are being taken and will be undertaken to enhance road safety, which may include more effective implementation and monitoring of work, technical, and road standards,” he wrote.
The Prime Minister also expressed condolences to the families of all victims of traffic accidents.
