Gyumri Medical Center Chief Doctor on 6 Victims Transferred to Hospital

Following a tragic accident on the Gyumri-Yerevan road, the injured individuals were transferred to the Gyumri Medical Center around 1:40 AM today. This was reported by the chief doctor of the medical center, Armen Khachatryan, in a conversation with a correspondent from Sputnik Armenia.

According to the doctor, 6 victims were brought to their medical facility, along with fatalities. “All of them have various types and degrees of injuries, and their conditions have been assessed as extremely serious,” Khachatryan stated.

He also added that some of the patients might be transferred to other medical centers in the upcoming hours. Those in need of specialized medical assistance will be moved to appropriate hospitals. Those whose condition stabilizes will be transferred to Yerevan according to their place of residence.

It is worth noting that it was previously reported that on August 14, at around 00:20, a tragic accident occurred on the Gyumri-Yerevan road. A minibus, identified as a "Volkswagen" passenger transport vehicle, collided with a truck driven by 33-year-old H.P. in the administrative area of the village of Lanjik. The accident resulted in the deaths of 11 people.
