Iran's frozen assets in South Korea have become accessible again. This was announced by the governor of the Central Bank of Iran, Mohammad Reza Farzin, on his microblog on X. The information was reported by Forbes.

The amount in question is about $6 billion, which will be transferred to the accounts of six Iranian banks in Qatar and will be used for purchasing "goods not subject to sanctions." Recently, the White House also announced the release of Iranian assets in South Korea in exchange for the release of five Americans by Tehran.

The head of Iran's Central Bank stated that restrictions on the country's assets in other countries would also be lifted soon.
