Lukashenko Opposes Severing Relations with the West
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has voiced his opposition to severing relations with Western countries. He made this statement during a meeting with representatives of working collectives located at Minsk National Airport, as reported by the BelTA news agency.
Currently, Belarus primarily relies on the East, notably Russia and China, but must not forget about the technologically advanced West, he noted.
"They are close, they are our neighbors—the European Union. We cannot lose relations with them," said the Belarusian leader, emphasizing that the Republic is ready to develop its relationship with the EU, taking its own interests into account.
According to him, Belarus is even prepared to welcome Western airlines starting tomorrow and has no intention of engaging in conflict with anyone.
