‘Extremely alarming information is coming from Artsakh,’ says Vardan Sargsyan

Agreement on transporting goods to Artsakh has not yet been reached. Vardan Sargsyan, a representative of the humanitarian crisis management working group in Artsakh, addressed the current situation in an interview with a correspondent from ‘News’ at the Kornidzor border area:

“We are receiving extremely alarming information from Artsakh, indicating that there is nearly a paralyzed situation in almost all sectors of life. Healthcare, education system, agriculture, transportation, energy supply, water provision—serious issues are present across nearly all directions,” said Vardan Sargsyan, adding that indifference in such circumstances is unacceptable and that urgent actions have become even more vital.

“There is information about widespread cases of malnutrition, which have already led to irreversible consequences. All this once again underscores the need for effective and clear actions,” he stated.

It is worth noting that it has been the 17th day since humanitarian aid destined for Artsakh from Armenia has been stuck in the Kornidzor border area. On August 9, a vehicle loaded with humanitarian aid from the cities of France also reached Kornidzor, and now 22 trucks are waiting at the border for entry into Artsakh to prevent the humanitarian disaster.
