The Truck Convoy has Remained Stationary for 16 Days at the Kornidzor Border Area

A convoy consisting of 22 trucks carrying humanitarian aid to Artsakh has been stationary for 16 days at the Kornidzor border area. Vardan Sargsyan, a representative from the working group on humanitarian crisis management in Nagorno-Karabakh, stated in an interview with "News" that over these days, representatives from the diplomatic corps accredited in Armenia, international organizations, and particularly the UN office in Yerevan, have visited the Kornidzor border area. They witnessed that the Lachin corridor, which has been blocked for eight months, remains closed, making it impossible to deliver humanitarian goods to the people of Artsakh.

Sargsyan noted that numerous representatives of reputable international media have also visited this section of Kornidzor. From a distance that is visible from the unlawfully installed Azerbaijani checkpoint, they have seen for themselves that there is no movement at the checkpoint, and it is serving no one.

“Despite the growing attention and interest from the international community, the statements and concerns being raised regarding the deepening crisis, and media publications, it is still oddly observed that the Azerbaijani side continues to announce that the Lachin corridor is open, which has no relation to reality,” he said.
