Operation ‘Khachik, Vachik, Kajik, Hrachik’ and the 'Gold' Numbered Cars with Ukrainian-Plated Lexus

On August 10, information was received by the Patrol Service of the RA Police's Gegharkunik Province Unit regarding several cars in Sevan city that were following each other and acting as if they were ‘fish in water.’

The officers quickly discovered a Mercedes G with the license plate 88 DB 888, a Mercedes G 500 with the license plate 88 BJ 888, and a Ukrainian-plated Lexus LX 450 with the plate BT 8888 BT, which were taken to the Police Department's secured area in Sevan.

The drivers claimed they were relatives and were just driving around without any violations, expressing surprise when the patrol stopped them and took them to the ‘plashadka’ (a police holding area).

According to G. Shamsyan, the operation was named ‘Khachik, Vachik, Kajik, Hrachik’ because the source who informed the Gegharkunik Patrol Service mentioned that one of the vehicles was playing the song ‘Khachik, Vachik, Kajik, Hrachik’ by Silva Hakobyan.
