“Give it a few days”: Where are the ‘Crusaders’ right now?
The ‘Crusaders’ squad, which was in Kornidzor yesterday, has now positioned itself in a different area away from the Kornidzor positions. This was stated by the squad commander, Sargis Poghosyan, in a conversation with NEWS.am.
“The guys are gathering right now. We will not engage in any illegal actions. Give us a few days. We have simply moved back slightly from the Kornidzor positions so as not to escalate the situation, and we are positioned elsewhere,” Poghosyan said.
In a conversation with the news outlet, the village head of Kornidzor, Arshak Karapetyan, noted that the squad had left the village since yesterday. “They came and left yesterday. I had a meeting with them for about 10 minutes. I cannot say whether they will come back or not,” he said.
It is worth mentioning that the squad organized a protest in front of the Government on August 8. They had given the Government a timeline to deliver humanitarian aid-laden trucks to Artsakh from near Kornidzor, threatening that they would resort to force otherwise. After not receiving a response from the Government, they had moved to Kornidzor that night.
