Adam Schiff Agrees to Meet with American Armenians Supporting Artsakh Protests
U.S. Representative Adam Schiff has agreed to meet with American Armenians who have been supporting protests for Artsakh for several days. This was announced during a live broadcast on Facebook by protest participant David Mnatsakanyan.
According to Mnatsakanyan, the meeting will take place on Friday, August 11. “After four days of struggle, we reached a point where, together, we reached Glendale, closed the road, and finally at the last moment he agreed to meet on Friday. We will keep you updated on the news, but this is already a victory,” said Mnatsakanyan.
He also added that they are going back to Adam Schiff's office and do not plan to go home, in order to make their determination noticeable.
It is noteworthy that for several days, American Armenians have been organizing protests in support of Artsakh. Yesterday, they held a sit-in near Congressman Adam Schiff's house, and just recently, they closed the streets of Burbank, located in Los Angeles County, USA. Initially, the protesters drove from Burbank to Glendale in a motorcade, then blocked one of the main highways for nearly four hours, paralyzing traffic before heading back to Burbank, where the results of a conversation between His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Terteryan, the Mayor of Glendale Ardy Kassakhian, and U.S. Representative Adam Schiff were expected to be announced.
