Video: Two Young Men Arrested after Filling 40 Liters of Gas with Fake Receipts
On July 28, a citizen called the Police Operational Management Center to report that a young man filled his car with 40 liters of gasoline using fake receipts at one of the gas stations located on the Yerevan-Yeraskh road and then left the scene.
The report was forwarded to the Masis Police Department. Law enforcement officials determined that the driver of a Mercedes had presented two fake receipts for 20 liters of fuel to the attendant, who only verified the receipts after the driver had left.
The police identified two young men attempting to utilize the fake receipts at another gas station and arrested them. During a search of one of the suspects, a folding knife and a greenish substance were found, while the other suspect possessed a fake receipt for 20 liters.
Prior to their arrest, the young men had attempted to fill gas with fake receipts at two other gas stations, but the attendants were vigilant.
A criminal case has been initiated.
