VIDEO: Gazelles Will No Longer Exist from August 15, Avinyan on Upcoming Changes

“It is very pleasing to announce that starting August 15, we will finally be free from the 'despairing gazelles',” said Tigran Avinyan, the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, during a working discussion at the city hall today.

“This is just the beginning of our reform journey. We still have the full implementation of a unified ticketing system to address, and the designated lines for buses must continuously be increased,” emphasized Avinyan.

According to the Deputy Mayor, the project for the full implementation of a unified ticketing system for buses and the metro is still in the works. He instructed the preparation of a complete project for the planned designated lines for buses.

“We also have a commitment to provide real-time information to people, and in addition to making it accessible via Yandex and Google maps, it should also be available at the bus stops,” Avinyan concluded.
