"This is already the third explosion in our city," eyewitnesses recounted to NEWS.ru following an explosion at a factory in Sergiyev Posad. They recalled that similar incidents had previously occurred in the city.

Earlier, the governor of the Moscow region reported that the enterprise where the emergency occurred was not related to optics; pyrotechnics have been produced there for a long time. According to the official version, a pyrotechnic warehouse exploded in the factory's premises.

As per the latest reports, 52 people have been injured, and at least 5 people are trapped under the rubble. The Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case under the article related to violations of industrial safety requirements at hazardous production facilities.
