NASA Administrator Does Not Consider Russia a Participant in New Space Race

The United States does not consider Russia a participant in a new space race; only Washington and Beijing are involved, according to NASA Administrator Bill Nelson, as reported by Ria.ru. Speaking about the competition with China, Nelson expressed that he would not want China to be the first to reach the Moon.

Nelson also wished success to the Russian 'Luna-25' mission, which is scheduled to launch in the coming days. 'I don't think many would say that Russia is capable of sending astronauts to the Moon under the conditions that we and China are discussing, so I believe the space race is between us and China,' he stated.
