Attention: New Wave of Attacks on the Telegram App

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh reports that a new wave of attacks has begun on the Telegram app. 

“Dear compatriots, if you receive a message from an acquaintance asking you to vote in their favor, and if you decide to help them, the second step involves them asking for your phone number, after which they send a confirmation code, supposedly to register your vote. However, in reality, you are sending your Telegram account recovery code to a hacker. If you follow all the steps they require, the hacker can easily steal your account. To avoid such situations, it is essential to enable two-factor authentication. It’s crucial not to grant access to your bank card details, email, and never to provide the verification code you receive via text message,” the statement reads.
