Photos: 10-Year-Old Girl Married Just a Week Before Her Death in the USA

10-year-old Emma Edwards got married just a few days to a week before she passed away. This was reported by the Telegram channel NEWS.ru.

The young resident of North Carolina was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (a blood and bone marrow disease) last year. In many cases, this form of cancer is treatable, but in June 2023, doctors informed her parents, who were seeking to try a new type of treatment, that their child had only a few days to a week left to live.

“It felt like a blow to the back. You can never imagine the feelings when the doctors tell you that there’s nothing more they can do for your child,” said the girl’s mother.

10-year-old Emma Edwards requested to marry her best friend, with whom she wished to get married and have three children in the future. A solemn ceremony took place at the end of June, organized within two days, with approximately 100 guests invited.

It is noted that Emma passed away on July 11.
