Norway Decides to Fine Meta Company $100,000 per Day

Norway has decided to fine Mark Zuckerberg's Meta company. Starting from August 14, the company will be fined one million Norwegian kroner (approximately $100,000) per day for violating privacy regulations. This is reported by Комсомольская правда, citing Reuters.

The fine is due to Norway's demand for Meta to cease advertising based on users' online activities and locations, which the company failed to comply with.

It is also worth mentioning that Meta’s operations (Facebook and Instagram) are banned in the Russian Federation.
