Human Rights Defender's Staff Visits Citizens Protesting Near Government Building

By the order of the Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan, today, August 8, rapid response teams from the Defender’s staff have traveled to police departments in Yerevan in connection with the detention of citizens protesting near the Government building.

Individual conversations will be conducted with the detained citizens, and the grounds for their detentions and the state of their rights will be examined, along with the documents prepared by the police regarding this matter.

The staff of the Human Rights Defender will issue an additional statement regarding further details.
