Cause of the Fire on Amiryan Street Today Revealed

On August 8, at 18:24, the National Crisis Management Center received an alert about a fire that broke out on the roof of a building located at 5 Amiryan Street in Yerevan.

Four fire-fighting teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, one aerial ladder, and operational groups from the Fire Suppression and Rescue Operations Department as well as the National Crisis Management Center were dispatched to the scene under a '1 BIS' emergency call.

The fire was contained by 18:56 and extinguished at 19:17. It was reported that cooking oils had ignited in a chimney of a 'Pandak' (a type of food venue) measuring 15 cm.
