35-Year-Old Citizen Drowns in Sevan; Rescuers Retrieve Body from Lake

On August 6, at 11:21 PM, the Crisis Management National Center received a report that personal belongings had been found at the Shorja public beach in Sevan, and that the assistance of rescuers was needed to search for a citizen.

A team of emergency responders from the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ regional rescue department and a duty group from the special rescue operations center were dispatched to the scene.

Rescuers and police officers conducted search operations in the designated area and nearby beaches. On August 7, at 8:50 AM, rescuers discovered the body of S. M. (born in 1988) approximately 15 meters from the shore and at a depth of about 1.8 meters, retrieved it, and handed it over to law enforcement officers.
