Today There is an Opportunity to Prevent the Total Ethnic Cleansing of Artsakh: Edmond Marukyan

The Special Representative of Armenia, Edmond Marukyan, believes that there is an opportunity today to prevent the total ethnic cleansing of Artsakh and to protect the right of 120,000 Armenians to live with dignity in their homeland. He made this statement on his official Twitter account.

Marukyan emphasized, "The OSCE and other international actors have made tremendous efforts for the peaceful resolution of the Artsakh conflict for 30 years, while on July 22, 2023, in addition to his similar comments, the President of Azerbaijan literally confessed that his 'lifelong mission was to win in war.'"

He highlighted that we are facing the terrifying consequences of the 2020 war unleashed by Azerbaijan, which violated every norm and principle of global order and law. However, Marukyan stated that there is an opportunity today to prevent the total ethnic cleansing of Artsakh and to protect the rights of 120,000 Armenians to live with dignity in their homeland.

"End the blockade of the Lachin corridor," he concluded.
