Photos: Livestock Fallen, Vehicles and Roofs Damaged – The Aftermath of Yesterday's Hailstorm

On the evening of August 2, a severe hailstorm hit the town of Alaverdi and several villages in the Lori Province. In an interview with NEWS.am, Alaverdi Mayor Arkadi Tamazyan reported that the hail fell for about half an hour.

"It was larger than a chicken egg. It was a terrible disaster. The entire housing stock has been damaged. Agricultural machinery has been affected, vehicles, and even livestock in the fields have suffered, with reports of fallen animals. The roofs of residents' homes have also been damaged," said Arkadi Tamazyan.

He noted that a commission has been formed, and work to assess the damages is still ongoing.
