Latvia to Demand Nearly Six Thousand Russian Citizens Leave the Country
Nearly six thousand Russian citizens who have not passed the Latvian language exam will receive letters demanding that they leave Latvia. According to RIA Novosti, this was stated by Ingmars Lidaka, the head of the Saeima’s Citizenship, Migration, and Social Cohesion Committee, in an interview with Rus.LSM.lv.
"These are individuals who have not shown any intention to take the exam or apply for temporary residence permits. If we follow the law, then the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs of Latvia must simply send the notice to leave the country within three months," Lidaka noted.
