Major Car Accident: 3 of 6 Injured Are Children
The Lori Regional Rescue Administration's crisis management center received a call reporting a traffic accident near the village of Yaghdan, where a vehicle had rolled into a gorge. The incident occurred yesterday, August 2, at 8:44 PM.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia has dispatched a unit from the provincial rescue administration to the scene. It was determined that a "UAZ" (driven by A. M., born in 1961) and a "VAZ" (driven by V. T.) had veered off the road, sliding approximately 10 and 1.5 meters into the gorge, respectively, and overturned.
Rescuers approached the passengers of the "UAZ" vehicle: A. Ch. (born in 1969), S. J. (born in 1965), K. M. (born in 1997), A. J. (born in 2022), A. J. (born in 2020), and S. J. (born in 2016) with ambulances. The injured were taken to Stepanavan Hospital, where doctors assessed their condition as satisfactory.
The rescuers secured the vehicles by disconnecting the batteries, closing the valves of the gas tanks, and removing the "VAZ" vehicle from the road.
