Russian President Vladimir Putin has urged his fellow officials to treat the families and children of soldiers who died in combat as if they were their own. He made this statement at the Kremlin.

“Officials at all levels must treat the families of soldiers who died during the special operation as if they are part of our families, and their children are our children. This should not be accepted merely because someone somewhere signed or ordered something, but rather ‘from the heart,’” the president said.
