"The task of the armed forces is to fight and win." This statement was made by former Minister of Defense David Tonoyan during a session of the National Assembly's Inquiry Committee examining the consequences of the 44-day war.

According to him, the Ministry of Defense's responsibility was to ensure that they fight and win, and this assurance was not only in terms of weapons and military equipment but also included financial resources, informational support, and the assurance of defense policy.

"I believe my biggest responsibility is that I could not stop this war. My military-diplomatic skills, my knowledge, and my connections were not enough to prevent the war," Tonoyan stated.
