Turkish Aviation Strikes Several Targets in Iraqi Kurdistan
Today, the Turkish Air Force carried out several airstrikes on targets associated with the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraqi Kurdistan, which Ankara considers to be a terrorist organization. This was reported by the Shafaq News information portal.
According to sources from the portal, the areas of Kurdish autonomy located in the north of Duhok province were subjected to shelling. “The area was hit by four bombings,” cited Shafaq News from the source.
There is currently no information on casualties or material damage. It is worth recalling that Turkey launched its latest cross-border operation, “Claw-Lock,” in northern Iraq last April. The aim is to clear the region of PKK supporters stationed there. Ankara regards this organization as one of the main threats to national security, with conflicts dating back to 1984.
