Tree Saves Residential Building from Direct Shell Hit in Donetsk
On Monday evening, Ukrainian forces shelled the Kuybyshev district of Donetsk again. An artillery shell hit a tree standing in front of a residential building, which effectively saved many lives, reports RIA Novosti.
A large area of the facade of the high-rise building was damaged, as well as vehicles parked nearby. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
“I smelled gas, went outside, and the neighbors said that a pipe had burst on this side of the house. Windows on the third floor were blown out. Everything is fine with me, thank God, it seems everyone is alive, no one was injured,” said eyewitness Nina Alexeyevna.
According to her, the Kuybyshev district of Donetsk is constantly under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine: “We are shelled continuously—several times a day.”
