Armenian Girl Detained During Protests in Batumi

In the city of Batumi, Georgia, during a protest against the arrival of the Russian cruise ship Astoria Grande, two citizens of Ukraine were detained. One of them is Marina Chobanyan, an ethnic Armenian. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.

The girl is currently being held in a temporary detention facility in Ozurgeti. Another Ukrainian citizen, Dmitry Zakrevsky, was also detained during the protests.

The detained individuals are accused of minor hooliganism and disobeying law enforcement demands. A total of 23 protesters have been detained in Batumi.
