Video: Woman Jumps from Window with Child during Major Fire in Almaty

A major fire broke out in one of the residential buildings in Almaty, Kazakhstan, forcing people to jump from the windows. The video shows a woman initially throwing her child out of the window before jumping herself.

The fire, which erupted in the Akent microdistrict, continues to be extinguished, as reported by the Almaty Emergency Situations Department. It has been noted that nearly 300 people have been evacuated.

With the help of firefighters, 40 lives have been successfully saved. Reports indicate that a total of 50 personnel from the Emergency Situations Department and 14 units of equipment are currently working at the scene.
