US to Supply 155mm Shells to Kyiv with Bulgaria and South Korea

The United States has reached an agreement with Bulgaria and South Korea for the supply of 155mm shells to Ukraine. This was reported by the Financial Times, citing officials.

According to the officials, "The US has already signed deals with Bulgaria and South Korea regarding the supply of shells to Ukraine and is in negotiations with Japan on the same issue."

It is noteworthy that on July 7, US President Joe Biden announced the decision to start supplying cluster munitions to the Kyiv regime. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan stated that Washington regards the supply of cluster munitions to Kyiv as a temporary measure until the US increases artillery ammunition in sufficient quantities, which may take months.

Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, emphasized that such supplies put civilians at risk and are aimed at prolonging the crisis.

Previously, Russia sent a note to NATO member countries due to the supply of weapons to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov mentioned that any cargo containing weapons for Ukraine would be considered a legitimate target for Russia and stated that the US and NATO are directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine, not only in terms of supplying weapons but also in training personnel in the territories of the UK, Germany, Italy, and other countries.
