VIDEO: "Today, you are my hope, please don't leave me alone". Daughter of Vagif Khachatryan

Vera Khachatryan, the daughter of Vagif Khachatryan who was abducted from an illegal checkpoint in Lachin, has been displaced from Artsakh and is currently living in Jermuk. In a conversation with journalists, she mentioned that she is alone this side of the Hakari Bridge.

“My sisters, brothers, mother, all my relatives are in Artsakh and today my hope is you, each one of you. Please, don’t leave me alone. Be for me a sister, brother, mother, father, uncle, or aunt. I kindly ask you, dear compatriots, please don’t leave me alone in this pain. Vagif Khachatryan represents the entirety of the Armenian people; he is Artsakh and Armenia in Azerbaijan,” said Vera Khachatryan.

She recounted that a staff member of the Red Cross resisted and demanded that her father not be taken away and that they be interrogated in their presence. The Azerbaijanis threatened to use force if they continued.

It is important to recall that Vagif Khachatryan was abducted on July 29 by representatives of the Azerbaijani border service. The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan has stated that he has been arrested.

According to allegations, Vagif Khachatryan supposedly created a criminal group that participated in crimes against the residents of the Meşəli village in the Khojaly region on December 21, 1991.
