At Least 264 Flights Canceled in Japan Due to Typhoon

At least 264 flights have been canceled in Japan due to the approaching Kanun typhoon. As reported by РИА Новости, citing NHK, the typhoon, which has been assigned the 6 serial number, is approaching from Okinawa in the southern prefecture and Kagoshima in the south-eastern part of the country.

The storm is expected to reach the Japanese islands between August 1 and 2.

Due to the approaching typhoon, Japan Airlines Corporation (JAL) has canceled 67 flights to and from Okinawa and Kagoshima today, while All Nippon Airways (ANA) has canceled 73 flights. Additionally, ANA has canceled another 124 flights scheduled for tomorrow, August 1.

Reports indicate that the number of canceled flights is expected to rise throughout the day.
