Nearly 100 Flights Canceled at Belgium's Airport Due to Pilots' Strike

Belgium's Brussels South Charleroi Airport announced the cancellation of 96 flights operated by Ryanair on July 29 and 30 due to a strike by pilots, as reported on the airport's website, according to RIA Novosti.

The statement from Brussels South Charleroi Airport indicates that a strike by certain Belgian pilots of Ryanair is scheduled for July 29 and 30, which may result in the cancellation of flights departing from the airport.

The list of canceled flights, totaling 96, is available on the airport's website, and the management advises passengers to check their flight status in advance.

The pilots are demanding a pay raise that was cut during the onset of the coronavirus pandemic and has not been restored since the end of the crisis. Additionally, they are expecting a more manageable flight schedule.

In early June, Ryanair had to cancel 400 flights across Europe due to a strike by air traffic controllers in France.
