“No Positive Developments” – Vahan Kostanyan on Humanitarian Cargo Transfer to Artsakh
The representatives of the diplomatic corps are in Syunik to see the humanitarian cargo intended for the compatriots in Artsakh, which is blocked, as Azerbaijan is obstructing the uninterrupted entry of goods into Nagorno-Karabakh through the Lachin corridor. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan during a briefing with reporters in Kornidzor.
According to him, however, there are currently no positive developments.
“We will continue to work so that Azerbaijan ultimately fulfills its obligations, which it has assumed internationally. In this regard, it is very important for our international partners to exert additional pressure on the Azerbaijani authorities. There have been various efforts from different partners these days, but we believe that it is not enough. It is necessary for the international community to act as a united front, not only to send signals to Azerbaijan but also to take concrete steps,” noted the Deputy Foreign Minister.
It is noteworthy that for the third day now, 19 trucks loaded with vital necessities have been at the border area of Kornidzor to enter the besieged Artsakh. Additionally, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Armenia and international organizations have visited the area to assess the situation.
