We Raise Officials' Salaries Primarily for Citizens: Pashinyan

“We raise the salaries of judges after increasing pensions and the minimum wage, but I want to emphasize that we primarily raise the salaries of judges and officials for the benefit of citizens,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a government meeting.

“It is the citizens who benefit from the services of officials. The salary increase in the judicial system is part of our ongoing policy. When we established the Anti-Corruption Court, we set a new salary scale for that court. At that time, there were concerns that we were creating an imbalance, but we established that benchmark to reach that level in other branches later on, which we are essentially doing now,” he noted.

Pashinyan also mentioned that soon they will address the salary increases of judges in the Court of Appeal, depending on budgetary capabilities.
