Video: The First Center for Repatriation and Integration Opened in Yerevan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, accompanied by his wife Anna Hakobyan, attended the opening ceremony of the first center for Repatriation and Integration under the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs in Yerevan. The event was also attended by President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan, ministers, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan, and other officials.

In his speech, the Prime Minister noted that there are numerous de facto issues that people encounter when moving from one country to another. 'During discussions, we noted that if a high-ranking official can face such challenges during the repatriation process—having connections and access to even the Prime Minister, President, and ministers—then what can happen to many other people who do not have such connections?' he stated.

The term 'repatriation' is a cherished, important, and strategically significant expression for all of us, but when we proclaim this at a political level, we do not record that the political message can indeed inspire enthusiasm and desire among many people. However, facing the realities of state administration or legal procedures can extinguish a person's excitement and even lead to deep regret about embarking on this path,' the Prime Minister added.

It is noteworthy that the center offers free ongoing Armenian language courses, free seminars on integration and awareness, various online and offline events, information dissemination, networking opportunities, and contacts with potential employers, among other services.
