Video: I Am Personally in Kornidzor So That the Public Can See What Is Happening: EU Observer Mission Head

Markus Ritter, the head of the European Union observer mission in Armenia, who is monitoring the transfer of humanitarian cargo from Armenia to Artsakh along the Lachin corridor, stated in an interview with reporters that he is personally in Kornidzor to make visible to the public what is happening.

“Since the start of our mission, we have been patrolling along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, along the line of confrontation, continuously monitoring the situation at the border. We visit communities affected by the conflict and report to Brussels on what is happening here, thereby supporting peace negotiations and the EU's peacekeeping efforts. The road leading into the Lachin corridor is within our area of responsibility, and we are observing what happens here today, without knowing what is really going on,” he said.

It is noteworthy that 400 tons of humanitarian aid sent from Armenia is already in Kornidzor, delivered by 19 trucks, but it is still unclear whether the cargo will be successfully delivered to Artsakh or not.
