The results of the tripartite meeting held in Moscow are unacceptable to us: Araik Harutyunyan

The President of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, has issued a statement: "In continuation of my announcement on July 17 about joining the sit-in at Renaissance Square, I would like to emphasize the following interim results and future actions:

1. During this time, the international pressure on Azerbaijan has increased as a result of our public and closed-format efforts and activities, which has also been manifested in a number of international statements and actions.
2. We have succeeded in raising the level of international awareness and attention. The main event in this direction was my urgent press conference held on July 24, which was attended by a considerable number of over 100 journalists from 35 countries, including representatives from many leading media outlets in the world. The results of the conference are already being reflected in various publications since yesterday.
3. Given the serious situation at hand and utilizing the opportunity provided by the press conference, I declared Artsakh a zone of disaster during the conference, calling on the international community to provide urgent humanitarian assistance. The first response to this was the government of the Republic of Armenia's decision to send substantial humanitarian aid to Artsakh today to save its people from the disaster. Either Azerbaijan will open the Lachin (Kashatagh) corridor for this humanitarian aid, or with the next blockade of humanitarian cargo into the disaster zone, it will reaffirm the genocidal essence of its policy in front of the world.
4. We call on other states and international organizations (first and foremost, the relevant agencies of the UN) to follow the example of the Republic of Armenia and provide urgent humanitarian assistance to the people of Artsakh within the framework of their international obligations.
5. Also, as a result of our efforts, a tripartite meeting between the foreign ministers of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan took place yesterday in Moscow, the results of which, however, are unacceptable to us.
6. At the same time, we await other upcoming meetings and events in the coming days that hopefully will yield tangible results in addressing this catastrophic situation. In this regard, we are demonstrating the necessary initiative and responsibility within the framework of our limited capabilities.
7. We urge the authorities of the Republic of Armenia to exert maximum efforts toward enforcing the International Court of Justice's order issued on February 22 and to immediately appeal to the UN Security Council regarding the security guarantees for the people of Artsakh in order to achieve tangible results.
8. We ask and urge our compatriots in the Republic of Armenia and the diaspora to continuously increase pressure on the key players of the international community, especially the governments of the permanent members of the UN Security Council (Russia, the USA, France, the UK, and China), as well as on UN agencies and the European Union, using all possible means to draw attention and prompt urgent action. These can include civil disobedience, awareness campaigns, protests, and other actions, utilizing strict and non-standard methods within permissible limits.
9. The pressure for opening the Lachin corridor must increase, using both political and humanitarian tools, as well as potential other mechanisms. In this regard, the authorities of Artsakh are discussing all possible scenarios and steps for application depending on developments.
10. Considering that my sit-in, the popular movement, and all other efforts have already achieved certain results in attracting international attention and pushing for practical measures, I have decided to end the sit-in and continue my efforts in a working emergency mode. At the same time, sit-ins and other actions continue by other compatriots within the framework of the popular movement, and I will periodically meet with them to discuss our actions together."
