VIDEO: A Letter to the Tsar of Russia. Until When Are We Going to Live This Way? - Nikol Pashinyan

There are sincere points in Moscow's stance, and if we translate many of them from diplomatic language, it sounds like this: you have been an independent state for 30 years; how long will you keep calling Moscow or writing letters to Moscow whenever you face a problem? This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a press conference today, July 25.

“We have this genre, don't we? We, 'A Letter to the Tsar of Russia,' until when are we going to live in this genre? Moreover, our compatriots from Artsakh have played a significant role in the establishment of this genre. Don't we see the problems Moscow is facing? Who will solve them for Moscow? Everyone has their issues. By the way, there is a factor that we forget in the context of the start of the 2020 war, and that is the COVID factor. In these countries, tens of thousands of people were leaving every day, and COVID had become a global problem that everyone had forgotten about and was dealing with.

What I mean is that the problem is not that people do not want to solve some issues; it means that they also have questions that they cannot resolve in Washington, Brussels, and Moscow. As an independent state, we must take the next step of maturation, understanding that first and foremost, we are the ones to solve our problems. That is also the reason why I agreed to the agreement that Armenia and Azerbaijan recognize each other's territorial integrity,” said the Prime Minister.
